Good morning, it’s nice to see you.

Who I am

Hubert Witczak

Associate Professor of Economics
discipline: management studies

I was born in Jarocin, in the Wielkopolska region. Until I was 11, I spent my time playing, studying and helping out a little on my parents’ farm. During my time at primary and secondary school (1955–1962), I owe the most to Monika Bonowicz (Bieździadów) and Jan Kowalski (Żerków). At Technical College of Chemistry No. 2 in Poznań (1962–1967), I am indebted to my form tutor, Zenon Kaczmarek. This life path gave me the potential and the opportunity to pursue higher education. I owe my fascination with issues of organisation and praxeology to Prof. J. Boroni. The field of management in the broadest sense became my passion and the path of my professional career.

The background of the page features a view of the palace in Śmiełówhttps://mnp.art.pl/muzeum-a-mickiewicza-w-smielowieIt houses the A. Mickiewicz Museum, one of only three in the world that are open all year round (the others being in Paris and Istanbul). Śmiełów is less than 5 km from Żerków, the area where I come from (Bieździadów).

Whatever I have done and continue to do, in every field, stems from a passion. In that respect, I am a lucky man. Also because, when I look in the mirror in the morning, I feel no anxiety, disgust or any other equally unpleasant emotions.

I hope you have a great stay!
